Tips on How to Get Taller

grow taller 4 idiotsFor most people, being short is viewed as a disadvantage. You probably just laughed at the ’short’ jokes your friends would make-but you know deep inside, you wish you were taller. Men and women who are much shorter than what is considered an ideal height will find themselves asking, “Can I still get taller? Are there ways to do it?”

Well there are ways for you to grow taller. Exercising or taking supplements will help. But take consideration other such factors as genes, hormones and nutrition.

Live A Healthy Lifestyle

First, take excellent care of your body. In order for your body to release growth hormones, you need to get plenty of sleep and eat a balanced diet everyday. Without question, the foods we eat have a significant effect on our growth and health. A balanced diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, and enough water intake can help a lot. Getting enough sleep is also important for the growth hormones to perform their functions effectively. Lack of sleep can lead to the reduction of the amount of growth hormones being produced.

Get Out And Exercise

Second key factor of getting taller is exercise. Exercise has been proven to assist in the getting taller process. Sports that involve stretching are the best type of physical activities that will encourage growth. Swimming and basketball are perfect examples of this kind of sports. It is also important to perform stretching before and after playing these sports. Stretching exercises that can arch your back and expand your spinal column are best. Bending down to touch your toes and hanging from a bar for a few minutes many times daily has been known to stimulate the growth of our back part.

Stretching exercises not only stimulate growth, but it encourages better posture.

Appearance Is Everything

Standing up straight makes you look a lot taller. You could also try some optical illusions to make you appear taller as well. For women, try hairstyles that add volume up and add more height. For men, try hairstyles that involve making the hair spike up or anything that would make you appear taller. A vertical stripe in clothing always works for everyone to look taller.

These tips and exercises on how to get taller have been suggested to stimulate growth-but know that your growth is limited if you’ve already reached adulthood. It is known that we stop growing after the end of puberty, which is usually at the age 16 for girls, and 18 for boys. There are researches however that showed some still continue to grow beyond this age, such as ages 25 for men and 21 for women. So do what you can, because surely you will still get taller or look taller given these tips.

How to Grow Taller

grow taller 4 idiotsThere are many ways to get the few inches that you need just to stop your friends from calling you “shorty” or to be more attractive for the girl of your dreams. As I had both these issues in my life until not long ago, I started digging information about growing taller. I found a step-by-step program for growing taller that I put to the test right away. The methods that I liked the most were the stretching exercises. I’m going to share with you, a few tips to grow taller that I’ve learned from this program.

But before I start revealing these tips to grow taller, I must explain a little how do stretching exercises influence the human growth. It’s pretty simple. For example, when breaking one of your bones, the body will start repairing the damage immediately, creating new bone tissue that will cover the gaps between the bone fragments. When stretching your skeleton, harmless and painless microscopic fractures occur at the extremities of the bones. The organism will start fixing these injuries and bones grow. Therefore the stretching exercises are the best to increase height, and here are the tips to grow taller that I was talking about.

1. One of the best exercises for stretching is the “bar hanging”. This exercise is very easy to perform, all you have to do is find a horizontal bar (or go to a gym, you’ll find one there for sure), grab on it and let the gravity do the rest. Let your body stretch freely, holding the hands on the bar close together and feet off the ground. It’s best to do this exercise about 30 minutes every week, dividing the sessions in a few minutes per day.

2. Another exercise that requires a horizontal bar is the “upside down hanging”. This also requires two devices to fix your feet up on the bar. Once your feet are fixed within the “clippers” on the bar, just like in the first exercise, let the gravity do the rest, allowing your body to be pulled down. This exercise involves a whole body stretch, but the tension is put mostly on the knees, enabling leg bones to grow longer. If you have the necessary equipment, this stretch is better to be performed 5 minutes in the morning and 5 more in the evening before going to bed.

3. The last one of my tips to grow taller is called the “hanging knee-up. Again, a horizontal bar is needed to perform this exercise. This is an easy one as well. All you need to do is hang on the bar, with palms facing you letting your body stretch, then slowly pull your knees up to your chest. Remain in this position for 10 seconds, then bring your knees down. Repeat these moves for a few minutes. This exercise has an excellent influence on the lower spine.

I hope that my stretching Tips to Grow Taller have helped everyone that is hunting for a few more inches, at least a little. Anyway, the step-by-step program for growing taller that I’ve been following contains all the information that you possibly can get on this matter, from growth hormones and nutrition, to growing even when you sleep, and it worked perfectly for me.
